Very excited for the release of Woodkids full length album. Stumbled on this video today going through my RSS feed and totally forgot how good his first EP was. If you are not familiar with Woodkid (Yoann Lemoine) you might now his videos that have been floating around the web for some time now. He has also directed for such names like Drake, Rihanna, Lana (duck lips) Del Rey and Katy Perry. The guy has some serious vision and talent.
Very cool app designed by Field and an interesting documentary behind its creators process in making a non-linear film about a world in turmoil.
The guys over at Castor (French for beaver) have such a unique view on recycling and repurposing in order to make everyday objects functional and breath new life into them. Take a look for yourself and I’m sure you will find something if not everything compelling, and could easily enjoy a piece or two in your very own office, studio or home.
More brands need to be this experimental with their design process
I have been a long time fan of Bat For Lashes (and long time crush on Natasha Khan) and had a chance to really listen to the new album over the weekend. The Haunted Man might not be my favorite of the three studio releases, having a slight departure from the past sound, but none the less it is still a very good listen.
